íro
fire; flame (idiomatic) passion (for someone or something) (idiomatic) rage, fury

Fire is seen as very important in cenyi culture, providing both warmth and light. It has strong ties with both life and death, as well as very powerful emotions, and is widely associated with magic, being among the easiest things to conjure.

The similarity between íro and ira (“to live, be alive”) is entirely incidental, however.
